Synopsis / Sinopsis
Iván Vallejo, the first Ecuadorian to summit Mount Everest, wants to make a film which will commemorate his trajectory. He invites Sebastián Cordero to the project, an Ecuadorian filmmaker who premiered his first film in Venice the same year that Iván achieved his feat. Together, they will travel to Nepal, where they will realize they share many similar life experiences but they also have opposing views when imagining this documentary. As days go by, the higher altitude and the depletion of oxygen will raise their debate to interior and transcendental territories, putting at stake their trajectories and their egos when facing the mountain and its millenary depth.
Iván Vallejo, el primer ecuatoriano en hacer cumbre en el Everest, quiere hacer una película que conmemore su trayectoria. Invita al proyecto a Sebastián Cordero, cineasta ecuatoriano que estrenó su primera película en Venecia el mismo año que Iván logró su hazaña. Juntos viajarán a Nepal, donde se darán cuenta de que comparten muchas experiencias vitales similares, pero también de que tienen puntos de vista opuestos a la hora de imaginar este documental. Con el paso de los días, la mayor altitud y el agotamiento del oxígeno elevarán su debate a territorios interiores y trascendentales, poniendo en juego sus trayectorias y sus egos a la hora de enfrentarse a la montaña y a su milenaria profundidad.
